Mexico's Wine Country

by Bob
(Tucson, Arizona, U.S.)

I wanted to comment on the story about Mexico's Undiscovered Wine Country. About two years ago I attended the Fiesta de la Vendimia or Harvest festival in Ensenada and Valle de Guadalupe. I was there with some of my friends. The festival lasts about three weeks and it is held annually in mid-July/early-August, but we only went for a weekend.

There are many events. Most have a fee, but some are free to the public. The events range from street fairs to food and wine pairing accompanied with music. To give you an example of the events, they include: opera and wine, jazz and wine, tango and wine, art festivals. It really was a fantastic weekend, and we had a lot of fun. I highly recommend it.

Thank you for sharing your experience at the Fiesta de la Vendimia. This year the Vendimia will be held from August 7th through August 23rd. If you plan to attend, make sure you buy tickets soon because they go fast.
