Crognolo, 2003 Toscana

When I returned home after spending a week with my Mother, I prepared pasta and salad for dinner. My husband brought a bottle of Crognolo, 2003 Toscana to the dinner table. Oh my gosh! My first comment was 'it's beautiful'! The wine was ruby red and very pleasing to the eye. When I took the glass to my lips, the wine smelled 'dirty and oaky', which I like. I sipped and smiled because it was 'delicious'! My taste buds tingled with rich sensations of flavor. And much to my delight, it was richly satisfying and paired well with the tomato based pasta I had prepared. Quite a 'welcome home' treat .... and a wine I look forward to having again, and again! :)
